31st Fire Museum Seminar
San Antonio, Texas, November 3-6, 2022!
Yep, the San Antonio Fire Museum is gonna do it again!
We’ll start the weekend on Thursday evening, where Guests will be treated to a reception at the San Antonio Fire Museum (5:00pm – 11:00pm.) You’ll tour the Museum and we’ll have snacks, Hors d'Oeuvres and plenty of beverages for everyone to enjoy (and get a sneak peek at our planned expansion!)
The Witte Museum in San Antonio is only about 1 mile from our Museum and we plan to visit the Witte on Friday, with a "behind the scenes tour" to learn about research and collections. Great educational exhibits as well as natural history, local history, and art galleries!
Dave Hubert and his wife Barb will be proceeding in a parade with his 1902 American Steam Fire Engine, pulled by a team of 3 Percheron horses in the City of Windcrest, on Saturday, and afterwards we’ll go once again to FMN Board member Tom Winn’s ranch for a great Texas-style BBQ Dinner!
There will be an “optional” trip to El Mercado, the largest Mexican Market in the United States, and Market Square, where shops, restaurants and bars abound, on Sunday morning! (about 2 miles from the Museum; sorry, does not include a trip to Mexico…) Shop, drink, and eat in this 3-block market (we will provide free hourly shuttle service to and from the market, 9:30am - 1:30pm)
The Host Hotel for the Seminar will be the historic Menger Hotel where Teddy Roosevelt recruited for his Rough Riders in 1898, just one block from the Fire Museum. Seminar presentations will be in the Hotel’s conference center, and hospitality (Network Nights) will be nightly at the Museum.
If you prefer, rooms have also been reserved at the Crockett Hotel, right across the street from the Menger!
